第7話 Chapter 7 · 次巻予告 next volume preview
Volume 2: tutors in Tokyo. You write it.
Today every lesson is online. In-person tutoring in Tokyo and Yokohama starts when enough families ask for it — and when local tutors join. Both buttons below count.
質問コーナー Questions corner
Questions parents actually ask.
Are the tutors actually in Tokyo?
Not yet. Right now every lesson is online, with tutors from our network in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. That is exactly why the timing works: Tokyo afternoons are European mornings. If enough families ask for in-person lessons in Tokyo or Yokohama, we will recruit local tutors — you can tell us below.
What does it cost?
Registering and posting your request is free. You only pay if it works: if lessons continue after the trial lesson (a second lesson takes place), there is a one-time placement fee of €47.20 for private persons. No lessons, or only a trial lesson, means €0 — no risk. High-level IB and GMAT tutoring carries a €10 surcharge, also only on success. Tutors keep 100% of the rate you agree with them; we take no commission. With an EasyConnect monthly pass, or if the tutor voluntarily covers the fee, there is no placement fee. No subscription. All prices & conditions →
In which language are the lessons?
In English or German — just say which in your request. Many of our tutors teach English as a subject and can teach math and sciences in English; German-speaking families can have lessons fully in German.
How do you handle the time difference?
Japan does not use daylight saving time. Germany is 7 hours behind Tokyo in summer and 8 hours behind in winter. A lesson at 16:00 in Tokyo is at 09:00 (summer) or 08:00 (winter) in Germany; 20:00 in Tokyo is 13:00 or 12:00. Weekends work well too.
Which curricula can you help with?
We match by subject and level: IB (MYP and Diploma), AP, IGCSE, A-Level and the German Abitur, plus university subjects. Mention your curriculum and exam dates in the request so we can suggest tutors who know it.
I am a tutor living in Tokyo. Can I join?
Yes, please. Create a free tutor profile and mention Tokyo or Yokohama. Local tutors are the foundation of our next volume: in-person lessons in Tokyo.
To be continued — by your kid.
One free request. Tutors who are awake when Tokyo needs them.
